WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors and to provide a proper functioning of the site.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?

There are five main groups of cookies:

COOKIES USED ON THIS WEBSITE

  • PHPSESSID: technical and strictly necessary cookie containing the session identifier. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
  • cookie_notice_accepted:technical and strictly necessary cookie containing the value of whether the installation of cookies has been accepted. Expires 1 year from the last update.
  • _ga: Google Analytics cookie that enables the unique visits control function. The first time a user accesses the website through a browser this cookie will be set. When this user re-enters the website with the same browser, the cookie will consider that it is the same user. Only if the user changes browser, he/she will be considered as a new user. It expires 2 years after the last update.

  • _gat: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics. Used for request rate limiting – limiting data collection on high traffic sites. It expires after 10 minutes.
  • gid: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics. It is used to distinguish users. It expires after 24 hours.
  • wordpress_test_cookie: technical cookie used by WordPress to find out if your browser can accept cookies. It expires at the end of the session.
  • wp-settings-*: technical cookie used by WordPress to store user preferences. Expires 1 year from the last update.
  • wp-settings-time-*: technical cookie used by WordPress to store session data. Expires 1 year from the last update.
  • wordpress_logged_in_{hash}: technical cookie used by WordPress to manage the user authentication process. It expires at the end of the session.
  • _icl_current_language:technical cookie used to store the current language. Expires 24 hours after the last update.
  • _icl_visitor_lang_js: technical cookie used to identify the language of the user’s browser. Expires 24 hours after the last update.
  • wpml_browser_redirect_test:technical cookie used to redirect the user to the website in the correct language. It expires at the end of the session.
  • qtrans_front_language: technical cookie used to store the language selected by the user. Expires 1 year from the last update.
  • wp_woocommerce_session_{hash}:technical cookie used by WooCommerce to manage sessions. Expires 48 hours from the last update.
  • woocommerce_cart_hash: technical cookie used by WooCommerce for shopping cart management. It expires at the end of the session.
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart: technical cookie used by WooCommerce for shopping cart management. It expires at the end of the session.
  • woocommerce_recently_viewed: technical cookie used by WooCommerce to store the last products viewed. It expires at the end of the session.

REVOKING CONSENT TO SET COOKIES / HOW TO DELETE COOKIES FROM YOUR BROWSER

Chrome

  1. Select the Tools icon
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click Show Advanced Options.
  4. In the “Privacy” section click on Content settings.
    • Delete cookies: Click on All cookies and site data.
    • Do not allow cookies to be stored.
  5. Click on Clear Browsing Data (Clear Cache).
  6. Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer

  1. Select Tools | Internet Options.
  2. Click on the General tab.
  3. In the “Browsing history” section, click Delete browsing history on exit.
  4. Select Delete files.
  5. Select Delete cookies.
  6. Click on Delete.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Close and restart the browser.

  1. Select Firefox | History | Clear Recent History.
  2. Next to “Details”, click on the down arrow.

  5. Click Delete Now.
  6. Close and restart the browser.

You can accept or reject cookies individually in Firefox Preferences, in the History section available under Tools >Options > Privacy.

  1. Select the Safari / Edit | Reset Safari icon.

  3. Click on Restore.
